Beginning in 1984 as a Project Superintendent in Florida, he expanded his role to take on varying management positions until becoming Vice President of Construction for Blythe in 2005. Mr. Cahill became President and CEO of Blythe Construction in 2010 and then assumed the role of President and CEO of the Hubbard Group in 2013, and undertook securing the company’s reputation as the premier heavy civil contractor of the Southeast. Under his leadership, Blythe and Hubbard expanded their operations continuously throughout the 2000s, while forming a culture of operational excellence and safety first which today forms the heart of our organization. In 2018, Mr. Cahill had a key role in the acquisition and integration of Lane Construction’s Plants & Paving operations, creating what is now Eurovia USA. As President and CEO of the US operations, Mr. Cahill heads a network of more than 3,500 employees operating across the entire East Coast of the United States.
Following a move to the US, he joined Hubbard Construction in Orlando Florida in 1989 before moving to Blythe Construction in Charlotte, North Carolina in 1999. Brian has held operational management roles his entire career. While at Blythe Construction, he has managed award-winning projects including the I-85 widening projects in Mecklenburg and Rowan Counties, the final section of Charlotte’s I-485 Outer Loop, the Salem Creek Connector, and others. Under Webb’s leadership, Blythe teams have successfully completed many of the largest DOT contracts in NC and SC history, and have established the company’s reputation as the Southeast’s leading heavy civil contractor.
After graduating from Mississippi State University with a degree in engineering, he went on to hold leadership positions with several prominent companies in the South before joining Blythe Construction as a Division Manager in 2003, later becoming Vice President of asphalt operations. Under Mr. Hendrick’s leadership, Blythe’s asphalt plants have received multiple NAPA Diamond Awards for excellence, and its paving operations have won numerous Quality in Construction awards for major projects throughout the Carolinas. As Vice President, Mr. Hendricks currently oversees one of the region’s largest and fastest-growing operations.
Since joining our team in 2011, he has overseen bidding for many of the largest public and private contracts in North Carolina history, including the I-485 Outer Loop Completion project, I-85 Widening in Cabarrus and Rowan Counties, and the I-540 project in Raleigh, NC. Prior to starting his tenure at Blythe, he worked for another local contractor building bridges throughout the Carolinas. He holds an Engineering degree from NC State University in Raleigh, is a registered Professional Engineer in NC, and is a member of AGC-DOT Joint Bridge Committee.
In 2007, after relocating to North Carolina, she joined Blythe Construction, as a Field Safety Engineer. In her 12 years with the group, she has taken on additional responsibilities in the area of Human Resources, developing into her current leadership role as Director of Environmental, Health, and Human Resources, for the Eurovia USA Group. In 2019, DuBay was recognized as one of the Charlotte Business Journal’s “Women in Business,” in part for her central role in the Lane Plants & Paving acquisition, which took place the previous year. A graduate of Southern Illinois University, DuBay holds a degree in Industrial Engineering and is a member of several boards including the Carolinas AGC.
